Vice-minister Xu Ke visits France and Denmark
Xu Ke, vice-minister of China’s National Health and Family Planning Commission, visited France and Denmark between May 4 and May 11 at the invitation of the French Ministry of Social Affairs and Health and the Danish Ministry of Health. During Xu’s visit to France, she met with Marisol Touraine, France’s minister of social affairs and health. The two sides spoke highly of their cooperation on health, and pledged to strengthen cooperative ties as this year marks the 50th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations. Both sides agreed to support the Sino-French Health Ministerial Meeting, which is expected to take place in Beijing in August. The meeting is expected to have roundtables on four themes, including the prevention and control of infectious diseases, hospital design and management, healthy ageing and Antibiotic resistance.
