From June 8 to June 10, Minister Li Bin went to Anhui to conduct study and research on healthcare reform. She visited the People’s Hospital and the Jiashan Community Health Center in Yushan district, Ma’anshan city; the No 2 People’s Hospital and the Health Center in Liulang township in Wuhu city; the People’s Hospital in Feidong county; and the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. Wherever she went, she lent her ears to medical workers who gave comments and suggestions on healthcare reform. She had cordial talks with patients and asked about details such as how much they paid for the medical services and their thoughts on their hospital experiences.

During the visits, Minister Li Bin held three informal discussion sessions on healthcare reform. Li Bin also attended a briefing session in which a report on work to deepen comprehensive reform of the medical and healthcare system on a piloting basis in Anhui province was given. Li Bin had in-depth discussions with people in charge of local governments and relevant departments, presidents of public hospitals and representatives of medical workers, soliciting their comments on reform of public hospitals.
