Children are the future of our motherland. The happiness of thousands of families depends on children growing up healthy. Guaranteeing medication for children is a major project to improve people’s wellbeing and development of the whole society. The publishing of the Opinions fully shows that the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council pay great attention to and express tender care about the healthy growth of children. It is an important move to solidify the essential drug system and improve the national drug policy. It will be conducive to the improvement of the health conditions of and medication level of children in China so as to better safeguard the health rights and interests of children. It will facilitate efforts to guide R&D and production and supply of pediatric drugs and fully rouse the enthusiasm of enterprises. It will facilitate efforts to deepen healthcare reform, be responsive to the concerns of the general public and promote the harmonious development of the whole society.
