On May 11 and 12, Li Bin, minister of the NHFPC, led a group and inspected the Tongjiang County, Sichuan province, on educational practice pilot project and county-level public hospitals reform. To improve the government’s service, they inspected the primary care and family planning institutions, and listened to local people’s opinions about the progress, challenges and suggestions of educational practice and public hospital reform.

On May 11, the inspection group arrived at Tongjiang county located deep in Daba Mountain on the border of Sichuan and Shaanxi province after a three-hour drive. They inspected Minsheng town hospital and the Jiajialiang village clinic, and talked with medical staff and local people.
