Li stressed that the health and family planning departments should practice General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions, follow strict standards, emphasize pragmatism and oppose formalism. Six important issues should be addressed. First, work style and the central government’s eight regulations should be strictly enforced. Second, anti-corruption should be carried out to strengthen ideological education, improve the government system and severely punish corrupt officials. Third, medical reform should be deepened to eradicate problems as early as possible. Fourth, more benefits should be established to facilitate and provide satisfactory service. Fifth, all units should stick to family planning policy and improve their work. Sixth, all units should regulate work style in health and family planning departments.
