Li Bin meets with Mauritanian prime minister

On Aug 4, Li Bin, minister of the NHFPC and the special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, met with Moulaye Ould Mohamed Laghdaf, prime minister of Mauritania. During the meeting, the prime minister expressed his condolences to the Chinese government and Chinese people for the 6.5-magnitude Yunnan province earthquake, which hit Ludian county in Zhaotong city.

Li Bin said that the Chinese government pays great attention to the traditional friendship of the two countries. China is willing to expand and deepen cooperation in many sectors, including the healthcare sector, for a comprehensive bilateral relationship of cooperation, she said.

Laghdaf expressed his gratitude for the support and help from China and the contribution from the Chinese medical assistance teams over the years. Mauritania would like to develop friendly cooperation with China in all respects, Laghdaf said.
