Li Bin meets with CEO of Johns Hopkins medical group
On September 9, Li Bin, minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC), met with Paul Rothman, CEO of Johns Hopkins medical group and dean of the medical college of Johns Hopkins University.
Li expressed gratitude for Johns Hopkins medical group’s support to China’s healthcare sector. She said that healthcare has become an important part in the high-level negotiation of China-US cultural exchange. China encourages cooperation between the two nations in medical institutions, academic institutions and medical colleges. China’s medical and healthcare sector is facing a rare opportunity. Li hoped the Johns Hopkins medical group can use its advantages in medical education, research and management to cooperate with Chinese institutions in promoting the development of China’s medical and healthcare sector.
Rothman introduced the cooperative situation of Johns Hopkins medical group in China and its development plan, and expressed his willingness for further cooperation.
People in charge of the NHFPC’s departments of international cooperation, planning and information, healthcare reform, and medical administration attended the meeting.
