No.5 Reform for medical professionals training
On November 27, 2014, the Ministry of Education, the NHFPC and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine jointly held a conference to deploy a reform for clinical medical professionals training. The central government subsidized 1.5 billion yuan to ensure trainees’ salary, support training base construction and attract excellent medical teachers.

It cooperated with relevant departments to revise the tobacco advertisement terms in the Advertising Law. It carried out tobacco control publicity and health education for the public, building an environment good for comprehensive tobacco control.

The NHFPC has strengthened disease emergency aid since 2014. By December 26, 2014, medical institutions across the country have aided 329,000 patients and applied funds totaling 1.6 billion yuan.
