SHORT STATEMENT OF APPRECIATION AND THANKS TO THE CHINESE MEDICAL TEAM
I am very happy this morning to write a few words of appreciation and thanks to the second batch of Chinese Medical Team (CMT) of the People’s Liberaiton Army of China.
First and foremost, I world like to express my profound thanks to the Government of the People’s Republic of China for the dispatch of the medical team in the fight against the Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone.
For the past four months since the Chinese Medical Team commenced work at the Hospial, we have had no cause to frown upon their abilities and duties. We hightly appreciated their work in the fight against Ebola. Good qualities of a doctor such as dedication, hard work, punctuality, gentility, caring and love for patients are to be found in the Chiense Medical Team. The exemplary behavior of the Chinese Medical Team has saved the lives of many critically ill patients.
The Sierra Leonean staff has benefited a lot from the Chinese Medical Team. I believe that the enormous amount of knowledge we have acquired from the Chinese Medical Team will be a long lasting legacy. I hope that all Sierra Leonean staff who has received Chinese Medical Team training is better equipped to handle any future outbreak of Ebola.
I have no doubt the new Chinese Medical Team will perform to a much higher level than their predecessor. The hospital is willing to cooperate with them and the Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Health and Sanitation will provide a conducive environment and provide the necessary facilities for a smooth work in Sierra Leone. We wish the incoming Chinese Medical team a wonderful time in Sierra Leone.
Let me conclude by once again thanking all members of the Chinese Medical Team for their wonderful work in Sierra Leone.
Long live the Chinese Medical Team.
Long live the friendship between China and Sierra Leone.
We wish you safe journey.
I thank you all.
