Wang inspects poverty alleviation work in Xinjiang
Wang Pei'an, vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) inspected Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region's poverty alleviation work from July 9 to 12.

The inspection team visited counties in Xinjiang's Kashgar, Aksu and Hotan to get insight of the impoverished households of these areas.
The team inspected industrial parks, medical institutions and rehabilitation institutions and had face-to-face talks with the local residents.
Wang highly praised Xinjiang's improvements in poverty alleviation and their providing ofbetter healthcare in poor areas.
He urged the local health department to focus on impoverished areas and groups to give them more support in improving the infrastructure construction and people's livelihoods.
To provide better healthcare in poor areas, the local health department should take measures in capital arrangement, policies combination, project implementation and human resource management, effectively preventing poverty caused by diseases or disabilities,according to Wang.
Local governments should strengthen their support to poverty-alleviated industries, helping residents in poor areas find jobs. Relevant departments should offer language and technical skills trainings for young people, encouraging them to find jobs in other places.
Wang added that local governments should strengthen their publicity and push forward the implementation of poverty-alleviated measures.
