10th Tripartite Health Ministers’ Meeting held in China

The 10th Tripartite Health Ministers' Meeting among China, Japan and South Korea was held on Nov 12 in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province.
Li Bin, minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, made a speech at the meeting, making a three-point proposal for future cooperation.
Li called for consolidating strategic consensus and building cooperative framework for the future.
She also encouraged establishing a network and communication platform under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Cooperation on the prevention and treatment of emerging and reemerging infectious diseases should be deepened, according to Li.
A joint declaration was approved by China, Japan and South Korea at the meeting.
Katsunobu Kato, minister of health, labor, and welfare of Japan, Park Neunghoo, minister of health and welfare of South Korea, and Shin Youngsoo, a regional director at the World Health Organization, attended the meeting.
A team from the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat led by Han Mei, deputy secretary-general, also participated in the meeting.
Founded in 2006, the tripartite health ministers' meeting is held in China, Japan and South Korea by turns.
