Cui Li attends 2nd China-Africa Conference on Population and Development

The 2nd China-Africa Conference on Population and Development was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province from July 8 to 10.
Cui Li, vice-minister of the National Health Commission (NHC), attended the conference and delivered a speech.
Cui noted that the Chinese government has always paid great attention to the issues of population and support for South-South developmental cooperation.
"We hope that China and Africa could strengthen cooperation and learn from each other to fulfill the coordinated and sustainable development of population, economy and society." she said.
Themed on South-South Cooperation and Achievement of Demographic Dividend in Africa, the conference was co-organized by the NHC, the China Population and Development Research Center, the China Population Association and the United Nations Population Fund Representative Office in China.
Also attending the conference were more than 100 representatives and experts from relevant government departments, 12 African national governmental institutions and scientific groups.
