Wang Jianjun attends the promotional event of the 29th World Population Day and delivers a speech.

An event to promote the 29th World Population Day was jointly held by the National Health Commission (NHC) and the Chongqing Municipal Government in Chongqing on July 11. 

Wang Jianjun, member of the Leading Party members group of NHC, and Chen Heping, member of the Leading Party members group of the Chongqing Municipal Government, attended the event and delivered speeches.

Wang noted that the theme of the 29th World Population Day in China was “Jointly build the fertility civilization and enjoy wonderful life”, which calls for fertility civilization to coincide with the core values of the society and meet people’s pursuit of a wonderful life. 

Over the past 40 years of China’s reform and opening-up, the country has been improving family policy, which gives strong support to the opening-up policy and social development. China has always focused on maternal and child health care services to guarantee the right to a healthy life, and actively participated in global health management to help the construction of developing countries, he said.

During the event, the organizer held publicity activities and provided services such as maternal and child health consultation and adolescent health education.
