Cui Li attends G20 Health Ministerial Meeting and visits Panama

Cui Li, vice-minister of the National Health Commission (NHC) attended G20 Health Ministerial Meeting in Argentina from Oct 3 to 4 and delivered a speech on promoting equitable and sustainable development.
Cui noted that China will further support Argentina to push forward cooperation and exchanges in G20’s health sector.
China is willing to strengthen health policies exchanges and health information sharing with other G20 members, Cui said. China will promote the cooperation in innovation, research and development with other countries to enhance the equality and accessibility of health services, and to realize the health-related goals of the 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development, according to her.
Mar Del Plata Declaration of G20 health ministers was approved by the conference. During the conference, Cui respectively met with the Minister of Health of Turkey and the EU Health Commissioner.

From Sept 29 to Oct 1, Cui visited Panama and held a meeting with Miguel Mayo Di Bello, Panamanian health minister and Eric Ulloa, vice health minister. The two parties signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in health sector. During her stay in Panama, Cui visited local cancer control and primary health institutions.
Officials from relevant departments of NHC accompanied Cui’s visit.
