Cui Li meets with Norway state secretary for health and care services

Cui Li, vice-minister of China’s National Health Commission (NHC) met with a delegation led by Anner Grethe Erlandsen, state secretary for the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services, on Oct 15 in Beijing.

Health and care cooperation is an essential part of the China-Norway relations. Recently a more pragmatic cooperation has been seen between the two sides’ health organizations, driven by the governments' top-level exchanges, said Cui.

She shared the latest heath progress in China's health and care and methods taken by China to support world health and securities.

Cui said she hopes China and Norway would strengthen the health cooperation and be committed to improving the health capability and people's health in developing countries, especially African countries, through various methods including scientific researches cooperation.

Erlandsen said that China and Norway face similar challenges on aging and epidemic prevention and control. Norway is willing to expand its cooperation with China in the fields of health technology innovation and world health, and ensure the two sides’ health cooperation to be steady and sustainable.
