Ma Xiaowei, minister of China's National Health Commission(NHC), and his delegation visited Albania at the invitation of the country's Ministry of Health and Social Protection from May 22 to 23 to exchange ideas on boosting the two nations' pragmatic health cooperation.
Ma met with Erion Braçe, deputy prime minister of Albania, and Manastirliu, minister of Albanian Health and Social Protection.
Health is an important sector of the two countries' cooperation, said Ma, adding that he expects China and Albania to build a closer health cooperative partnership by strengthening exchanges, under the guidance of the health cooperation implementation plan from 2018 to 2020.
The health cooperation between the two sides will prioritize the primary healthcare, hospital management and continuing medical education, according to Ma.
China and Albania has shared a long-time friendship, and 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of China-Albania diplomatic relations, said Ma.
China is willing to take this opportunity to work with Albania as it actively participates in the Belt and Road Initiative and China-CEEC Cooperation.
