NHC vice-minister inspects national tropical diseases study center

Zeng Yixin, vice-minister of the National Health Commission inspected on June 15 the national study center for tropical diseases at the National Institute for Parasitic Diseases.
The national study center should attach great attention to formulating technological standards and norms in the area to enhance the ability of the disease’s diagnosis and treatment, said Zeng , adding that the scientific research platform should be strengthened in order to improve the institute’s research capability.
He urged the center to optimize operation and management mechanism, said the center should attract and stabilize talents through favorable policies , said Zeng.
A global health academy is going to be built by the center together with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, according to Zeng.
