According to Beijing Municipal Health Commission, between 0:00 and 24:00 Feb 23, Beijing reported no new confirmed case of COVID-19, the first time that the city reported zero cases for two straight days since the outbreak.

A principal official from Beijing Center for Diseases Prevention and Control said though that this does not mark a turning point of the epidemic. Multiple factors such as people returning to work and the resumption of production and operation of businesses add uncertainties to the trend of the epidemic. The risk of virus being imported and spread is still there. Beijing must not slacken its control effort.
