A makeshift hospital in Wuhan's Qiaokou district, Hubei province, will suspend operation on March 1 as all its patients are either being discharged or moved to other hospitals, Changjiang Daily reported on March 1.

It will be the city's first temporary hospital that stops receiving patients infected with novel coronavirus, according to the report.

A total of 34 patients were discharged from the makeshift hospital on March 1, who can go home after a 14-day quarantine at a designated place. Another 76 patients will be transferred to two other medical units before 10 pm Sunday, including 10 with serious symptoms and 66 with mild symptoms.

Since its opening on Feb 11, the temporary hospital has handled 330 patients, including 232 people cured and discharged.

Medical workers at the makeshift hospital, all from Shanxi province, will stand by at the hospital, with medical supplies and facilities to be sealed up.
