Chinese medical team holds workshop on COVID-19 prevention in Baghdad
A team of seven Chinese medical experts hold a training workshop for local medical workers to promote knowledge of prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia in Baghdad, Iraq. Since the team arrived in Baghdad on March 7, they have visited Medical City in Bagdad several times, and exchanged ideas on the prevention and control of COVID-19 with health officials in Iraq. Up to March 20, the Chinese team has organized more than 10 training activities, teaching over 1,000 medical personnel about anti-virus measures. In addition, China has helped build the first high-standard nucleic acid testing laboratory in Iraq, and provided medical supplies including nucleic acid testing kits, masks, protective suits and other equipment for diagnosis and treatment of the epidemic.
