Chinese medical team goes to aid African nation

A medical team comprising 12 medical experts from Hebei province departed for the Democratic Republic of the Congo at around 6 pm on May 11 from Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province.
The experts, a mix of specialists from the fields of testing, respiratory medicine, traditional Chinese medicine and infectious disease control, will provide support in the fight against COVID-19.
The DRC had reported 1,024 cases of pneumonia from the novel coronavirus as of Monday morning. It reported 41 deaths and 141 recovered patients, according to China Central Television.
