Beijing COVID-19 containment guidelines to seek public comments
Pay attention to hand hygiene when riding a shared bike and wash hands after use; maintain at least one meter distance from other people when queuing in a café; book a ticket before visiting the zoo-these are the measures provided in the COVID-19 Containment Guidelines (the Guidelines) recently compiled by Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control. The Guidelines will begin to invite public comments from Beijing citizens starting from today.
The Guidelines consist of seven chapters and cover 60 scenarios. They include going out, dining at restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, recreation and entertainment, cultural exchanges for daily life scenarios and business meetings and farmwork for working scenarios. A leading official of Beijing CDC noted that during the fight against COVID-19, the agency worked together with other departments and compiled 78 containment guidelines by experts suited to the general public, specific groups of people and different sites. On that basis, the Beijing CDC drafted the COVID-19 Containment Guidelines, drawing on good containment practices from home and abroad. The full text of the draft is available at the city's CDC website (https://www.bjcdc.org/) for view and public comments and suggestions through emails and letters from today until 24:00, 31 May. The CDC will carefully consider the comments and suggestions and further revise and improve the Guidelines for an early release.
