Beijing government on Oct 14 suggested people from Qingdao city in East China's Shandong province not come to the capital if it's not necessary, and those who are there need to bring a negative nucleic acid test result within seven days.

People from Qingdao should follow related community epidemic prevention and control measures after arrival, such as health condition reports, said Xu Hejian, spokesman for Beijing municipal government, at the news conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Gao Xiaojun, spokesperson of the capital's health authority, said Beijing has traced five close contacts with the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Qingdao by Tuesday and the tests results of all five are negative.

He also mentioned fast testing facilities are already in place in many residential communities in Beijing, which will raise the efficiency of testing capability greatly.
