4th Sino-Canada health policy dialogue yields results

The 4th health policy dialogue between China and Canada was held in Beijing on April 16, yielding a series of constructive results after comprehensive and productive discussions.

Li Bin, Minister of China’s National Health and Family Planning Commission, and Rona Ambrose, Canada’s Minister of Health, took part in the meeting and signed the Sino-Canada Health Cooperative Plan for 2014 to 2016.

The China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment, GP Department of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Chinese Nursing Association, and Peking University Third Hospital, signed cooperation agreements with Canada respectively. A total of five agreements were signed on food safety risk assessment, general medicine and health data sharing.

During the meeting, the two sides co-hosted a food safety seminar, a roundtable meeting on hospital management and a dinner party with the theme of medical innovation.
