The 4th health policy dialogue between China and Canada was held in Beijing on April 16, yielding a host of constructive results after comprehensive and productive discussions.
Li Bin, minister of China’s National Health and Family Planning Commission, and Rona Ambrose, Canada’s minister of Health, took part in the meeting and inked the Sino-Canada Health Cooperative Plan for 2014 to 2016.
The China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment, Zhongshan Hospital Fudan University, Chinese Nursing Association, and Peking University Third Hospital, inked cooperation agreements with Canada. A total of five agreements were signed regarding cooperation on food safety risk assessment, general medicine and data sharing.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged ideas on health, such as at a food safety seminar, a roundtable on hospital management and a dinner party with the theme of medical innovation.
