3. Carry out on-site training for community-level health workers

The provincial health and family planning administrative department and hospital infection quality and control center shall act on the circumstances and earmark necessary funds to carry out on-site hospital infection management training for community-level medical institutes.

Training in various forms shall cover all of China's community health service centers (stations) and health institutes in towns and townships by the end of 2014, and cover all the clinics and village health facilities by 2015.

Establish and improve long-term training mechanism

All regions should give special attention to hospital infection management training at community-level medical institutes; bring training into overall arrangement of medical quality management; strengthen cleaning, disinfection, quarantine and aseptic operation technology training; as well as medical personnel hand hygiene training. They should continue to enhance awareness of hospital infection prevention and control among medical staff at the community-level medical institute and ensure patient medical safety.

The NHFPC will arrange for experts to offer technical support to training work at various regions and conduct supervision and inspection of training development.
