2. Transportation tool, cargo, mail and express deliveries from epidemic areas should undergo strict quarantine and sanitization treatment. Special goods, related animals and related products from epidemic areas should be forbidden.

3. If the epidemic situation gets worse and poses a serious threat to China, stipulations of the sixth and ninth articles of the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law can be carried out. The first entry port should be assigned, international navigation will be halted and the related frontier port will be blocked.

4. If a domestic epidemic breaks out and begins to spread, exit quarantine measures should be enhanced, including compulsory quarantine measures.

5. Under the current situation, how should the public cooperate with health and family planning, as well as inspection and quarantine departments in Ebola prevention and control?

Recently, the Foreign Ministry warned Chinese citizens against going to Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. Chinese citizens already in these countries should keep close watch on local epidemic development, understand relevant prevention and protection knowledge, take necessary protective measures, and avoid contact with suspicious patients. If symptoms show up, please go to the doctor immediately and contact the local Chinese embassy for assistance. For the health of yourself and others, please take the following precautionary measures:

1. Avoid contact with suspected patients, wild animals and items contaminated by their blood and bodily fluids. Don't attend funerals or visit areas crowded with patients, such as clinics and hospitals.

2. Maintain good health habits and immediately clean with soap and water after having contact with suspected patients or wild animals, as well their blood, secretions or excrement.

3. Avoid contact with wild animal meat. Purchase raw meat products that conform to hygiene standards and cook them thoroughly.

4. If symptoms appear during or after travel, please go to a doctor immediately.

5. Inbound personnel should take the initiative to make declarations to the entry-exit inspection and quarantine institute and ask for the Diagnosis Card when entering China if they have one of the following conditions:

a. Are arriving from an epidemic-hit country or have been to epidemic-hit countries within the last 21 days

b. Have contact with Ebola patients, suspected cases and animals in the last 21 days

c. Exhibit fever, fatigue, headache, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, skin rash and conjunctival congestion

6. Personnel from epidemic areas should follow the guidance of the local health and family planning department and take their daily temperature. If relevant symptoms appear, they should receive diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner and report their recent travel history to the medical and health care institute to help diagnosis and treatment.

Foreign students from epidemic areas shall be put under medical observation for 21 days under the university's centralized management system. If fever and other symptoms appear, students should work with the school and health and family planning department in epidemiological investigation, diagnosis and treatment. They should also follow relevant requirements and be subjected to quarantined medical observation.

In addition, the port inspection and quarantine institute will conduct quarantine inspection, body temperature monitoring, medical inspection patrol, epidemiological investigation, medical screening and sanitary treatment of inbound transportation tools, personnel, containers, cargo, luggage and postal parcels from epidemic areas to keep Ebola from entering the country. Exit and entry personnel and contractors of transportation tools, containers, goods, luggage and postal parcels should understand and follow relevant requirements.
