IV. Encourage appointment registration and diagnosis in different time periods and prescribed procedures
If a patient does need to seek diagnosis at a tertiary hospital, they are advised to learn about relevant information through the hospital’s official website, the 12320 health hotline or other formal channels. In this way, they can have a general understanding of the hospital’s specialty, department layout, and doctors’ shifts in order to make the right choice in appointment registration based on their own circumstance.
Appointment registration can effectively disperse patients and realize diagnosis in different time periods to improve efficiency and save time for doctors and patients. It can cut patient waiting time and bring down risks of cross infection at hospitals. Hospitals in various areas generally offer registration on site; online; or through phone, text message and self-help services. The registration methods all have different characteristics. The patient can choose based on their own conditions to seek diagnosis according to their own time and needs. If they can’t make it, they should cancel appointments in time.
V. Bring ID card, anamnesis and inspection data when seeing a doctor; honestly state medical conditions; and strictly follow doctor advice
When going to see a doctor (except in an emergency), one must use valid ID documents to register under one’s real name, using an ID card, household registration booklet, social security card, driver's license, passport, temporary residence permits or military card.
Medical history refers to a patient’s disease diagnosis and treatment, and is indispensable for medical staff to make a correct diagnosis and formulate treatment plans. Bringing in sound medical history and various test data can help doctors make faster and more accurate diagnoses, avoid repeated checks, and save time and costs.
Communication between patients and doctors is the basic way a doctor understands an illness and is key to diagnosis. The major means of communication is the patient stating their conditions to the doctor. It’s best for a patient to explain their condition in person when seeing a doctor. If a patient can’t communicate their problems on their own for special reasons, their family should do it for them. Accurate and comprehensive interpretation of disease is necessary. There should be no exaggeration or misrepresentation of problems.
VI. When fever or diarrhea occurs, one should first go to a professional fever or intestinal outpatient department at medical and health institutes.
Fever and diarrhea may be associated with a variety of acute infectious diseases. Fever and intestinal (diarrhea) outpatient service is dedicated to screening suspected cases of infectious diseases and treating related diseases. When a patient shows symptoms, they should seek diagnosis in relevant departments at standard hospitals to rule out the possibility of infection disease, thereby avoiding spreading the disease to others. Medical personnel should note information of fever and diarrhea patients in line with the relevant law and regulation on infectious disease prevention and treatment. Patients should actively cooperate and provide real and effective information. Patients with fever should wear masks during diagnosis for respiratory protection and stay away from crowded places.
