The deputy head of China's national health watchdog body met with a visiting delegation from the Netherlands on Oct 26 in Beijing.

Cui Li, vice minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, welcomed a delegation led by Martin van Rijn, deputy head of the Netherland's Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
The two sides exchanged ideas on various fields, including the integration of medical resources and elderly care, and antibiotic resistance.
Cui spoke highly of the cooperation between China and the Netherlands in the health sector over the past few years and introduced China's progress in integrating medical resources and elder care, and improving health care for senior citizens.
She said that both sides conducted positive and pragmatic exchanges. China is willing to learn from the Netherlands in dealing with its aging population and surging chronic diseases.
Martin van Rijn echoed Cui as he spoke highly of the coordinated results in the health sector achieved by the two countries.
He also expressed his desire for personal exchanges and joint research to overcome global challenges such as antibiotic resistance and dementia.
