Wang Jianjun

Wang Jianjun, born in November 1961 in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is of the Han ethnic group. Wang joined the Communist Party of China in July 1984 and started his career in August 1987.

Wang holds a PhD in management.

From August 1987 to August 2001, Wang worked as secretary, deputy chief and chief of the policy and regulation department, social organization management department, and general office of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. From December 1990 to October 1991, he worked in the poverty relief team Jinggangshan organized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

From August 2001 to August 2004, Wang served as the deputy director of the bureau of the special care and placement of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. From March 2004 to July 2004, he took part in half-year training for young and middle-aged officials at the Party School of the CPC.

From August 2004 to September 2008, Wang worked as a full-time deputy secretary of a directly subordinate organization, and as deputy director of personnel and education department at the Ministry of Civil Affairs. From September 2002 to December 2006, he pursued his PhD studies in the school of management at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

From September 2008 to December 2014, Wang worked as director-general of the policy and regulation department, director-general of the bureau of NGO management, and director of the NGO service center under the Ministry of Civil Affairs. From June 2001 to July 2013, he held a temporary post at the Binhai New Area of Tianjin.

From December 2014 to January 2015, Wang served as a member of the Party Leadership Group, director-general of the bureau of NGO management, and director of the NGO service center under the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

In January 2015 he was made a member of the Party Leadership Group, president of the China National Committee on Aging, secretary of the Party Leadership Group and executive deputy-director of the office of the national committee on ageing.

As of March 2018, Wang has served as member of the Party Leadership Group of the National Health Commission.
