1. The data is based on clinical and lab confirmed cases (excluding foreigners and Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau);

2. Viral hepatitis cases and deaths include hepatitis A, B, C, E and unidentified hepatitis;

3. “-” refers to data that is missing or that can’t be calculated;

4. Population data is based on materials issued by the National Bureau of Statistics at the end of 2012;

5. As of Nov 1, 2013, H7N9 bird flu was put under category B notifiable disease for management, and H1N1 was switched from category B to C and can be counted as influenza for statistics. The total number of category A and B notifiable diseases in 2013 includes H1N1 attack and death reports from January to October 2013.
